Today’s Joel Osteen 22 October 2022 Saturday Devotional

Read Today’s Inspirational: The Israelites were in slavery for 430 years. They were mistreated, forced to work long hours with no breaks, given quotas that were impossible to meet. It looked like that was their destiny. After all those years, I’m sure they had accepted it, thought that God had forgotten about them. Generation after generation of heartache, struggle, lack. But God is not going to let people continually mistreat you, continually take advantage of you. He said in Exodus, “I have seen the affliction of my people, I have heard their cries, I am coming down to deliver them.” God was saying, “Enough is enough. It’s payback time. I’m ready to settle this account.”

Today’s Scripture: Acts 20:24, NKJV
None of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy…

Today’s Joel Osteen Devotional Topic: Don’t Be Moved

Today’s Word

Life is too short for you to go through it drifting, feeling negative, discouraged, and passionless. Get your hopes back up. If you don’t have an expectancy in your spirit that something good is coming, it will limit what God can do. You have to stir up the hope and keep anchored to it. When you’re anchored to hope, you may have negative circumstances, but you’re not moved by worry because you know that God is fighting your battles. You know that God is behind the scenes arranging things in your favor. You may have a disappointment, but you don’t get bitter. You know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy is coming in the morning.

To be anchored to hope doesn’t mean you won’t have difficulties; it means that when those difficulties come, you won’t be moved. Nothing big or small will move you or cause you to pull up your anchor. There will be waves and winds, but you’re consistent, your hope is in the Lord.

Prayer for Today
Father, thank You that my faith and trust are anchored to You and Your mighty power at work in my life. Thank You that I don’t have to be moved by the tests and troubles I face because I know that You are fighting my battles. I declare that my hope is in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
